An opportunity for two talented scientists to join us

We are looking for two talented scientists to embark on fully funded PhD studentships with us to further our understanding of different aspects of the structure and function of host-associated microbiomes.

1) Characterisation of the genomic dark matter in host-associated microbiomes. More information here.

2) Understanding the role of bacteriophages in natural microbial communities. More information here

Both projects provide an opportunity to gain world-class expertise in microbial genomics and bioinformatics, particularly as they are applied to gut microbial ecosystems. The successful candidate will be a member of the ecological and evolutionary genomics lab under the direct supervision of Dr. Chris Creevey (http://www.aber.ac.uk/en/ibers/staff/chc30/), and be a member of a thriving team of researchers in the BBSRC-funded herbivore gut ecosystem group in IBERS

The closing date for applications is 29th April 2016.
